The Wide Green Meadow
Cascade Meadows lodge sits at the northwest end of our 5 acre alpine meadow. Irrigated and mowed throughout the summer, the meadow serves as an open play field for baseball, volleyball, and our 18 hole frisbee golf course. Or plan your outdoor event and set up pavilion, or tents as you need. Along the meadows edge several private retreat nooks provide for group or individual reflection.
Housing
Our facilities include six cabins and a loft in the lodge which hold 6-8 people in bunk style sleeping; a total of 56 overnight in the summer, 40 in the winter. The cabins are in three main areas, two adjacent to the lodge, two in the western upper end of the meadow and the last two on the upper east end of the meadow.
The cozy and neat interiors of our insulated cabins keep groups warm in the winter and cool in the summer. Shown here is the interior of Cottonwood, which was refinished in 2001. Portable restroom facilities are provided near the cabins.
Campfire RIng
Primarily used for our sponsored summer camps the fireplace ring provides a lovely setting for any evening gathering. Off to the right, Nason Creek splashes softly in the background. Vine Maple and Aspen shade the ring in the summer, and provide a fiery canopy of reds and oranges in the fall.
The Fellowship Hall
This multi-use space serves as the lodge's welcoming area, dining hall, recreational area and large meeting space. As a dining facility there is enough space to seat 64 for meals. To the left of this view are the ping-pong, air hockey, and foos-ball tables. To the right of this view is our fully stocked commercial kitchen, available for your group's use to serve meals. Around a corner to the right are the lodges private and newly remodeled bathrooms and showers, enough for 60 overnight guests.
Intimacy and Comfort
Our fireplace room is the most beloved space by all our user groups. The room is part of the oldest existing structure of the camp, constructed from logs fell from the surrounding forest many decades ago. The rough stone of the fireplace was mortared together from rocks collected from the meadow. The intimate size of the fireplace room allows for 18 adults to sit comfortably together and read, converse, tell stories or reminisce about the days events.
